Can you work with a photo that I already have?
Absolutely! Most of the photos I use in commission work is of client family members.
Can you find a photo from a specific era or in a specific style?
Sure! I am able to source photos for commission clients upon request.
What is the timeline on your commission work?
Timeline for commission work depends on both the client’s requirements and my schedule. Most commission projects take 2-4 weeks to complete after an agreement is signed.
I accept commission requests on an on-going basis and schedule commission clients based on deposit. Details about commission policies, such as fees and deposits, are included below.
Policies
A 25% fee applies** to all commission work and includes:

client consultation via Zoom to discuss timeline, expectations, and other details
up to 3 rough digital renderings meant to convey general ideas about painting and detail work
professional photo printing on archival fine art paper at a local Austin printshop
sourcing detail materials such as embroidery thread, vintage findings, fabric, papers, and other small materials to be discussed with client
artistic work including painting, stitching, and other detail work
progress updates (including photos) if requested by client
delivery of art piece— local Austin area, only
client gives artist permission to share the commissioned piece on social media and website
artist agrees to never use the photo from commission in any other artwork; no prints of the commissioned piece will be made by the client or artist
Deposits & Financing
A deposit must be made to begin work. Client can choose to pay 1/3 or 1/2 of the total commission cost as a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.
Balance is due upon delivery.
I am happy to work out a different payment schedule to fit client needs. Ask about monthly financing for larger commission work.
Deposits are paid via email invoice.
